When integrating an AI scribe into your documentation process, it’s important to set reasonable expectations. At ScribePT, our goal is to reduce the time you spend on documentation by 80-90%. A 100% reduction is not possible - AI can't replace clinical judgement, and some editing should be expected.

First, while AI can significantly streamline your workflow, it is not infallible! Quality notes depend on a few factors:

  1. Primary Input (Recording and Comments) (information the AI receives about the current client visit/Encounter)
  2. Additional Context (Previous encounter information like the initial evaluation or daily note data, etc.,)

High Quality Input

High quality “inputs” create high quality “output”

  • Input can be a therapist monologue about the session ("dictation"-style) or the recording of the therapist working with the patient
  • Input quality can be impacted by microphone quality, distance from the microphone, and how much clinical dialogue is present in the recording
  • "Output" refers to the note generated by the AI. Good input = Good note!
